The walk is open to everyone and does not involve any particular technical difficulties. However, it is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or wheelchair users.

YOUR EXPERIENCE IN BRIEF

• Departure from the meeting point at Contrada Osservatorio 21, Ercolano (NA) — 10:00 a.m. during the summer season and 2:00 p.m. during the winter season
• Approximately 2.5 km walk to the eastern slope of the crater of Mount Vesuvius
• Panoramic stops and a historical and naturalistic presentation
• Return along the same route

TECHNICAL DETAILS

• Length: 2.5 km round trip
• Elevation gain: 80 metres
• Difficulty: easy, suitable for everyone
• Duration: approximately 1.5 hours for the short route
• Route: departure from the ticket office located at the Imbò Refuge in Vesuvius National Park, Ercolano (NA).

HOW TO REACH THE MEETING POINT

For those arriving via the motorway, take the Torre del Greco exit and follow the signs for Vesuvius National Park (NA).

PURCHASING VESUVIUS TICKETS

Tickets for Vesuvius National Park can only be purchased online at https://bit.ly/4c8HCxs, no more than 30 days before the date of the visit.

If tickets are sold out, check the “GRAN CONO DEL VESUVIO – last minute” event. In this section, 10 additional tickets will be released one hour before the start of each time slot and will be valid for that specific slot. For example, at 10:30 a.m., 10 new tickets will be released for the 11:30 a.m. time slot.

PARKING

Parking facilities are subject to a fee and are not managed by our operators.

• We recommend purchasing your crater admission ticket first, as access is limited and your preferred time slot may not be available.
• Only after checking availability should you purchase your parking ticket.
• Before boarding the shuttle, make sure you already have a valid ticket for admission to the crater.
