What you will do

Discover the Matese National Park with a spectacular guided trekking experience to the Belvedere del Pianellone, among the wonders of the Southern Matese, in the heart of the Campanian Apennines. Set off from the picturesque Lake Matese, in the municipality of San Gregorio Matese (CE), and immerse yourself in ancient beech forests, scenic trails, and breathtaking views over the Matese Valley.

Led by an environmental hiking guide, you’ll begin your route from the Monte Orso refuge and enter one of the most enchanting areas of the Matese. Walk along gentle slopes, shaded stretches, and quiet clearings while listening to stories and curiosities about the area. Reach the Belvedere del Pianellone, a natural terrace overlooking the lake and surrounding peaks – perfect to pause and breathe in the beauty of untouched nature.
