Starting from the Rifugio Valle di Santa Maria, in the mountain area of the municipality of Piedimonte Matese, you will begin your hike through the ancient beech forest that leads to the Pianellone (1390 m), a large plateau where wild flora and fauna offer pure emotion among the sounds and colors of the autumn woods.

Continuing along the trails, you will reach the renowned Monte Orso viewpoint, where you can enjoy a well-deserved break and admire a breathtaking view of Lake Matese, accompanied by a glass of excellent organic mulled wine.
