In the historic centre of Acerra, among streets rich in history and local traditions, take part in an original pottery workshop dedicated to artisan craftsmanship and to the iconic symbol of Campanian culture: Pulcinella.
The experience takes place inside a charming art studio near Piazza Castello or, when weather conditions allow, outdoors in the picturesque setting of the historic square.
Welcoming you will be master ceramist Michele, dressed as Pulcinella Acerrano, the historic mask that originated in Acerra and is often mistakenly associated exclusively with the city of Naples.
Through an engaging theatrical introduction in rhyme, filled with humour, stories and local traditions, you will discover the origins, curiosities and symbolism of the famous mask of Campanian folklore, enjoying an authentic and immersive experience from the very beginning.
The experience continues with a hands-on pottery workshop, during which you will shape clay and create either a small sculpture of the Pulcinella mask or the traditional Neapolitan lucky horn, according to your preference.
During the workshop, you will interact directly with the artist, discovering techniques, curiosities and symbols of the Neapolitan tradition, all accompanied by an authentic Neapolitan coffee in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
Book now and enjoy an authentic experience of art, tradition and creativity, taking home a unique handmade souvenir from the heart of Campania.
If you wish, at the end of the experience you can also visit the Pulcinella Museum, located inside the Castle of the Counts of Acerra, accompanied by a certified tour guide or by Pulcinella himself, with a duration of approximately 50 minutes.
The museum visit is not included in the experience price and is available with a minimum of 2 participants. For more information, please contact us at support@esperi.it.
After approximately 5 days, it will be possible to collect your creation directly on site or request shipment to your home.
Shipping costs are not included in the experience price and will be calculated when the package is prepared, to be agreed directly on site.
