What you will do

Experience an authentic snorkeling in Ischia, discovering sea caves, crystal-clear seabeds and unique landscapes between nature and history. An ideal activity for those who want to explore the sea of the island in an active and engaging way, accompanied by a certified snorkeling guide and diving instructor.

After a welcome at the diving center and a short briefing, you will board a dinghy for a 15-minute navigation along the coast to reach the first exploration spots.

Departing from Ischia Ponte, you will head towards the snorkeling area, exploring the waters of the Grotta Verde and Grotta del Mago, two fascinating environments rich in marine life, light reflections and natural beauty. Guided by your instructor, you will observe fish, algae and seabed details up close.

The experience continues towards the Aragonese Castle and Cartaromana, home to a stunning submerged archaeological area, where you can admire ancient Roman remains beneath the sea.

In the shallow waters around the castle, you will also witness natural gas emissions rising from the seabed, a unique phenomenon linked to the volcanic origin of Ischia.

At the end of the tour, you will return to the diving center to change and relax.

WEATHER AND SEA CONDITIONS

In case of unfavorable weather and sea conditions, some stops such as the Grotta Verde and Grotta del Mago may not be accessible. In these cases, the experience will still take place with alternative itineraries of equal value, such as visiting the Grotta dell’Amore or exploring other coastal areas including the Aragonese Castle and Cartaromana.

The guide will assess sea conditions in real time and choose the most suitable route to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
