What you will do

Explore Mount Vesuvius on a comfortable e-bike and enjoy an unforgettable experience surrounded by nature and breathtaking volcanic landscapes. Ride independently along the ancient Matrone road, a historic trail that, from the Trecase side, takes you into the heart of the Vesuvius National Park, up to the square at 1050 meters, where you’ll have access to the famous crater with the entry ticket included.

You’ll reach the edge of the Gran Cono on foot, admiring the crater's majesty up close. The path, about 8 km long, starts paved and becomes a smooth dirt road, immersed in Mediterranean vegetation and the mountain’s peaceful silence.

During the ascent, you’ll enjoy the view of Punta Nasone, the highest peak of Monte Somma, and be captivated by the steep slopes of the Sterminator Vesevo, a symbol of Naples and Campania.

If you prefer to be accompanied, an optional service with a local guide is available.

YOUR EXPERIENCE IN BRIEF

  • Departure from the meeting point in Boscotrecase (NA) (8:30 AM; 10:00 AM or other times on request)
  • Self-guided (or guided) ride by e-bike along the Matrone road up to 1050 meters
  • Park the e-bike and continue on foot for about 3 km
  • Access to the Vesuvius crater with entry ticket included
  • Return to Boscotrecase (NA) on foot and by e-bike

GRAN CONO ENTRY TICKET

Your experience includes the entry ticket to the Vesuvius crater. Once you reach the access point, you can park your e-bike and enter on foot to visit the crater.

EXPERIENCE WITHOUT CRATER ENTRY

If there’s no availability on the calendar or you prefer to explore without entering the Gran Cono, click here to book independent e-bike rental.

TYPE OF BICYCLE

The experience includes the use of comfortable pedal-assisted e-bikes, perfect for climbing elevation even for those who are not trained. The bikes are suitable for paved and dirt roads, with adjustable seats and helmet included.

CHILDREN

There are no child-size e-bikes available. A child seat is available for kids up to 20 kg.

GUIDE SERVICE

At checkout, you can add the “local guide” service. This option includes a local expert who will accompany and assist you throughout the excursion.

EXCLUSIVE EXCURSION

This experience can also be booked exclusively, even on dates not listed in the calendar, by purchasing the Vesuvius National Park ticket independently.
