Naples: walk in the historic center with traditional coffee
What you will do
Discover the historic heart of Naples through an engaging itinerary, ideal for those visiting the city for the first time. Accompanied by Valeria, tour leader, you will experience a route through monumental squares, ancient alleys and symbolic places of Neapolitan history.
You will start from Piazza Trieste e Trento, overlooking the Teatro San Carlo, the oldest opera house in Europe, to reach Piazza del Plebiscito, monumental symbol of Bourbon Naples. You will continue towards the Galleria Umberto I, with its elegant glass dome, and the Maschio Angioino, historic fortress on the port.
The route continues along Spaccanapoli, the artery that crosses the ancient center, up to the cloisters of Santa Chiara, the façade of the Gesù Nuovo and the shops of San Gregorio Armeno, famous for nativity art. The tour ends at the Duomo of Naples, guardian of the relics of San Gennaro.
During the tour, a short coffee break is planned to explore stories and curiosities of the district.
